Collegiate practices combine land training along with, running, strength training and in water drills and scrimmaging. Team practices run Monday and Wed Nights
from 8 to 10 pm at the Student Recreation Center. Additional practices are held Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm and Sundays 11 - 1 at

After completing "hell week" the opening of the 2007 season kicked off with a round robin scrimmage between the University of Arizona Mens Water Polo the Arizona State Mens Water Polo and several members of the Sun Devil Water Polo Master club.                                           The scrimmage with U of A B Team took place in September of 2006 where in a best of three series the Sun Devils won, 2 games to 0. Richie Crowder and Matt Masters were the key goal scorers for ASU, while AJ Grucky and Josh Phillips both spent time in the cage, blocking the Wildcat offense. This first series kicked off what was an impressive inaugeral season for SDWP, finished 4th in the division with 7 wins and 4 losses.
